This is a new inspiration for me. It is becoming increasingly popular for open living spaces – particularly the kitchen, where we are seeing a raw aesthetic. Concrete, brick work, raw beams, dark colors, high ceilings, crittel doors.
I’ve always edged towards the softer shabby chic, with a hint of dark moodiness and lighting. But there’s something about this almost industrial feel that I love.
I love that softness is brought in with velvet fabrics, selective floral arrangements and lights. But all of the dressing is very minimal.
